I'm wondering if anyone shares this same problem:

I'll be using my iphone and the screen will randomly turn off. I can't get the screen to turn back on unless I lock the phone and then unlock it again. Then it returns me to to the main home screen. This has happened to me in Apple programs such as Contacts or Mail as well as installed programs such as Omnifocus.

I don't know what is going on and it's driving me crazy!

    Any ideas?!

Does is turn off while you are using it? If you dont touch the screen for a while it is programming to turn off after a specific amount of time. The amount of time can be changed in the settings menu. I think the default is one minute. I have ran into this problem while reading things on the phone. If you are using it and it is still turning off I dont know what to tell you.

Yes, mine has done this maybe 3 or 4 times so far (purchased Saturday).

Yep, it'll turn off in the middle of usage - while I'm typing! I turned off auto-lock to see if that had an effect but it didn't. There seems to be something else in play.

    Thanks for the thoughts though.

Have you tried a restore? I know it can be a headache, but sounds like you have more of one with that issue anyway.
