Problem with Skype Volume Image

I've recently gone back to Skype 2.8, because I don't like the newer version 😀 and everything is working fine except for one thing.

The Skype volume or .dmg which got left on the desktop will not stay in the Trash. I mean, it initially goes in, but as soon as I launch Skype again, it appears once more on the desktop.

Can anyone help me with this?



ETA: I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8
