I'm having problems importing apple lossless audio files into iTunes. When the files import, none of the tag information (artist, album, genre, ...) are listed in the iTunes entry -- just the filename in the track field.

These files were originally .wav files. They were converted to apple lossless (.m4a) by Max, then the tags were added to the .m4a container by MediaRage. I've verified that the tags are present with MediaRage.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance.

Not sure, but why didn't you just use iTunes for the conversion. It's completely bit-lossless when it comes to PCM > Apple Lossless conversion or whatever...

Killyp, I wanted to have the artist and album information in place when I imported to iTunes so that it would be handled cleanly (as opposed to going in with blank artist and album entries, and under unknown album). Max uses the same library as iTunes (Apple Core) so the result for the audio should be exactly the same.

Unfortunately, iTunes doesn't seem to be able to read the tags now that they've been added.
