I noticed that the clock on my iMac is always off. But, whenever I open Date & Time, the clock is right again. Is this a software or battery (if there one) issue?

    Thanks.

You should try repairing permissions using disk utility, as basic troubleshooting suggests. And hopefully that solves the problem. :)

At the very least try un-checking "set date and time auto". I have to keep that turned off on one of my older MBP. I have never been able to put my finger on the true cause. I did run disk util - permission repairs etc but it was always a "glitch" on my otherwise trustworthy and well running MBP. Just a suggestion it's easy enough to try and may do the trick for you as it did for me.

as well here, got nothing, no idea. had one like that, couldn't fix it, reload on fresh hardware and it all worked and never came back. who knows...

on a lighter note, found this and thought it might help.

or maybe not... try turning you computer away from the door... best of luck.
