Hi guys,

I'm trying to set up a time machine application but couldn't open it. My Finder showed up the "Error -43" notice. After looking at Apple document, I found that -43 means "can't find System file to open".

I'm not sure if I accidentally deleted the file or wrongly set the System Preference. Has anyone had this problem before? I would appreciate your help. Thank you very much.

Best,
Bon

What format is the drive?
Does it have any files on there already?
How is it connected?
Have you tried reformatting the drive?

More questions than answers, sorry. If it were me the first thing I would do assuming that the drive has nothing on it is format the drive to HFS+ in disk utility and try again to see if that sorts it out.
