Problem with Windows laptop... ideas?

Alright, so my ~2006 Inspiron 6400 has always ran strong... but lately, at the bottom of the screen, the pages (whether it be tabs in chrome, or my homepage seem to get "scrambled up" every once in awhile.

Anyone have an idea of what would cause it? I'm thinking..

- Hardware related? (Graphics card etc)
- Custom Skin (I installed a Windows 7 theme/skin. Actual OS is XP)
- Problem with Chrome browser?

Just wondering if anyone had any idea? Thanks😀

I think it could be skin related.
Hrmm dunno though. Switch skins and reboot and see what happens.

Erase the laptop, if the fault persists it's hardware.
