problem with Windows XP on a virtual Machine run by VMFusion 2.0.2

Windows works fine and I downloaded IE7 from the Microsoft website. The issue is, I was doing the windows update and after it installed Service Pack 2, I can no longer use the Microsoft update or Windows Update to go any further. My Windows XP Pro was successfully activated over the internet.
I get this error:

Error number: 0xC8000643

Anyone else run into this?
Is there a fix?
