Problems backing up iPhone

So I keepgetting the error that I have no memory
To restore from my backup it says the back up could not be saved due to low memory. Can someone help me please?

have you got much space on your hard drive? sounds like there may not be enough space to save the backup

It does this when I try to restore from a backup already saved on my computer.
