    Hi !!!

A few months ago, I had burnt several times music from my itunes
library into a DVD using an external La Cie DVD Burner.

At that time, I had burnt mostly Audiobooks into the DVDs. The
process of burning the DVDs went very fast including a previous
step called "encoding". The burner was only allowed to "fit" between
4.0 and 4.2 GB into the 4.7 GB DVD, (that I thought it was still alright
for a 4.7 GB DVD). At those times I also had a fast internet conection.

Last night, I tried to repeat the same gig. The only difference was
that the content was approximately fifty percent musik, and fifty
percent audiobooks. However, the burner only allowed to "fit" 2.55 GB
to be burnt into the blank DVD. Only 2.55 GB out of the 4.7 GB available !!!
The "encoding" was also going very slow, and it never got to the point of
burning the DVD because for me it was very strange that the "encoding"
had already lasted thirty minutes. Another previous times, the "encoding"
had taken less than three or four minutes. (Anyway, what is that
"encoding", I only know that it is a step that happens before the blank DVD
is burnt). The internet connection was also very slow.

The software used is Roxio Toast Titanium.

Thank you very much in advance for all your help !!!

    Ignacio.

This would be better off posted in the "Mac Applications" area. I myself have no idea, and a lot of people won't in this forum, as it's more about recording audio etc...

    Thank you !!!

I´ll do that. Actually, I wasn´t so sure if to post here or there.

Anyway, if anyone happens to leave an answer here, I´ll be
checking here and there on the applications forum.

    Thanks a lot again !!!

    Ignacio.
