When running iMovie11 - I cant get my Camcorder (Panasonic NV-DS38) to connect. Using Firewire 800 cable in correct port at rear. Camcorder connected to mains and in playback mode. Help and comments appreciated.

Try a different Firewire cable, and try a different computer(if you can) to see if the problem persisits.
