Problems Connecting to EDGE Network

When trying to access web pages and services like Weather and Stocks and Driving Directions too often I get the "Can not connect to EDGE Network" message. Especially last week in Philadelphia area 8 am to 6 pm but elsewhere like Detroit Airport, etc. Have they oversold iPhones in relation to capacity of EDGE Network? Were too many accessing "Stocks" last week due to stock market plunge? Am I only one finding that EDGE Network is often not available?😕
