I have been having problems downloading MacOS Installer files from 'swcdn.apple.com'.
This applies to Mac OS Monterey 12.7.1 and Mac OS Sonoma 14.1.1.

This was with both MDS (Mac Deploy Stick) and 'macadmin-scripts' from 'https://github.com/grahampugh/macadmin-scripts'.

I finally went on to MrMacintosh, got the URL for the download and used 'wget -c https...' to down load it. Even then, wget dropped out and restarted several times.

Has anybody else been having problems downloading the Installer files?

Yes, I have been having a problem, but not with downloading, just with trying to create the MacOS installer app from the InstallAssistant.pkg downloaded using the links on MrMacintosh.

I get this error when I launch the InstallAssistant.pkg and try to create a the installer app:
installation failed.jpg
As a test, I tried with downloading InstallAssistant.pkg's that I had previously downloaded and created a MacOS installer app successfully from MrMacintosh, but still got the same error.

I have the problem with 2 different 14" 2021 MBPs running 12.7.1. It worked fine with a M3 iMac running 13.6.2.

I tried Mist to download & create the installer apps and it worked perfectly.

Specifically, what errors are you getting when downloading?

All three methods keep on stopping and dropping out. The advantage of wget is that when you use the option -c it can recover and keep going, whereas MDS and macadmin-script both just give up.
