Problems installing Windows 7 on iMac 27"

Hi Guys 🙂

I've just bought an older 27" iMac, 3.06GHz, 4GB RAM, 2TB HDD, ATI Graphics..

And i'm trying to install windows 7 x64, ultimate edition.

I can install it fine, but when I try and boot from the Windows partition, it gets to the windows startup/splash screen, then just goes completely black.

I'm not technology-inept, and usually figure out stuff like this - but i'm not too sure this time!

If someone could help me out here it'd be much appreciated.

Thanks, but the article states this is only for an upgrade from vista, not a fresh install like i'm doing. Anyone else?

It doesn't matter. The problem is in the gpu drivers themselves, and gpu drivers are independent of OS upgrades.

Give it a try.
