I tried to migrate everything from my iBook G4 running 10.4.11 to my MacBook running 10.6.6. I used Migration Assistant over a wireless network (the Ethernet connection would not work and I don't have a FireWire). Everything seemed to go fine, as I migrated each of the 4 pieces (Users, Applications,Settings, Documents etc.) one by one. It took about 5 hours in all, but when I checked the new laptop there were no documents, photos, music files - nothing, in fact, except the Applications (and I don't know if they are all there). There was a message at the end of two of the phases saying some files could not be moved to my new computer, but no explanation, and no list of what could not be moved. Any ideas? Do I have to migrate the rest manually using the external hard drive I use for backing up? Thanks for any help.

Migration Assistant will have brought your accounts over from the iBook so you'll need to log out of the account you are in and login to one of the migrated accounts to view the transferred information.
