problems playing audio via usb to car stereo

I have a recently installed a sony deck into an rv and my wife's iphone 4 plays flawlessly on it. (hers is not JB). It connects with a USB cable. Once connected, you have to control the ipod with the deck, its not an fm transmitter type.

My i4 (which is JB) will stop playing after about 20-30 seconds. It usually makes a loud distorded sound right before it stops playing. My phone is on IOS 4.01 as is my wifes phone.

any ideas ?

I used to have that problem as well. Not JB but it would still screw up.
Installed iOS 4.1 and the problems went away. So just wait until you install the update and see what you get.

i figured as much. hopefully a JB won't be too far behind the update.
