Problems playing wmv.001, wmv.002 files.

When trying to learn how to play these files, a google search led me to another thread on this forum written by someone with the same problem. Another user suggest MacHacha as a decompression tool. I tried this, and it appears to have successfully decompressed the files into a basic .wmv file, however I am still unable to play the file.

When I try to open it, quicktime says it is not a movie file. I installed the newest version of flip4mac, and still get the same result. VLCPlayer and RealPlayer also give me similar notifications.

What can I do?

Use hjsplit

you need to use hjsplit to join the files then this will make one big file that you can use using quicktime or vlc player.

I've already joined them with a different program, my problem is that I cannot play the joined wmv file.

If you still have the original fragmented files, try using HJSplit

Vlc rarely gets foxed

I've downloaded the attachment that G4Powermac posted, but it's just a bunch of .class files. I've never worked with those before, will I have to run a java virtual machine?
