First computer is a imacG5
description of the problem using a mic and griffin imic pluged everything into the computer,i can use the mic as a speaker but when i plug it into the input place on the imic box with all the settings correct it doesn't seem to pickup sound,i know the mic works as it can be used as a speaker and i have pulged into an amp and works as should, what am i doing wrong

You have to have the switch on the iMic set to 'mic' level input, rather than line level. Also, you might need to go into System Preferences, Sound, and select USB device rather than internal microphone.

and if problems persist, remove unnecessary USB devices.
