Ok,
I have had my iPhone 5 since launch day ordered online - UK and Apple will not swap the phone out unless i do any of the following...

1, Go to a Apple store to replace (i dont live near one)

2, Send it back to them and i will get a new one sent back in a week. (I need it for work)

3, Pay them £29 for them to send me a new one and collect the faulty one. (Im not paying £29, its not my fault)

The phones screen is not as responsive as my wife's, i am having to tap the screen a few times as it is not responsive sometimes.

I have passed my 14 day return for refund policy, so can not return it.

I thought there was a 30 day replacement warranty in the UK?

Thanks.

I would have thought they would send a new one and collect the old one for for free instead of charging 29 pounds

No probs, ill get it swapped out next time im near a store.
