    Hi,

I recently got my old MBP replaced due to a recurring fault and just got a new MBP, nice I know. Anyway for whatever reason I can not get the nvidia control panel or the windows power options to let my monitor sleep when the system is idle. No matter what I set, neither the laptop monitor nor my external if connected will sleep.

Any ideas? I've got the 8600m gt 512mb, but I doubt the 512 makes any difference.

Can't seem to find any updated drivers.

    Cheers,
    Aly.

Which drivers are you using? Have you tried updating the drivers?

Ones that came on the mac os x install cd. Nvidia have no drivers posted, going to try what wgilles suggested and see what happens.

I've never heard of that happening, so I'm not sure, but it should work, new drivers can solve a whole bunch of issues for any type of hardware.
