Just setting up a new iPad today and am having ongoing problems connecting to Apple services and sites. Got a number of errors connecting to the App store, could not setup e-mail because it couldn't connect to iCloud mail. Searching for help with some of these issues from my Mac, I'm getting timeouts on Apple's forums and support articles.
Eventually I was able to get most things working, but everything is really slow. Other websites seem to be OK when viewed from my Mac, phone or iPad, but not Apple. Have been waiting over a minute for an article to open at support.apple.com right now.
I have FIOS 150/150 and have restarted the router. Using the 5ghz band on my Time Capsule with 802.11ac wifi, have restarted it. Anyone else having problems today? Everything comes up green at https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/ however a number of items are showing "Resolved Issue".
[doublepost=1528937809][/doublepost]Thinking this might be a Verizon/FIOS issue after all... tried tethering my Mac to my iPhone with an AT&T LTE connection and things seem to work ok now. Will give that a try on the iPad as well. Have had FIOS for almost exactly a year now and it has been really reliable, hope this isn't a sign of things to come. 😉
