Hey all,
Just got an ATV 4 to replace an ATV 3.
Nothing but problems now.
I'm getting the "an error occurred loading this content" message when I try to play a movie from my person iTunes collection.
I read somewhere that there could be a encoding problem, so I reencoded all my movies using Mac Video Convertor with the preset for the new Apple TV. I'm not sure what the preset does differently than the old preset but I tried it. It seemed to work for awhile. Now all of a sudden these loading errors. Not only that, but movies are starting to "disappear" from from the list on the ATV. Not sure what that is about.
So I switched back to the ATV3 to see if the problem still happened, yep. Sure does.
And on more than one ATV3.
Here's my setup:
iMac El Cap
Drobo USB
ATV3 Ethernet to AirPort Extreme
ATV4 Ethernet to AirPort Extreme
250 Mbps Internet
Extreme and iMac are 20 feet from each other
