Problems with Classic MBP Refurbs

My 2.5 Ghz 15" is only about a week old, but it came out of the box with a 90-92% battery health. This did not change after calibration. I just spent 1.5 hours on the phone with apple, of which only 20 minutes were actually spent talking, the rest spent on hold. Anyways, they decided to send me a new battery via exchange.
 
I forgot to mention that they intially wouldn't send me a battery. I told the product specialist to forward me to customer relations so I could [politely and professionally] file an official complaint. He put me on hold for 5 minutes, and said "Good News Mr. Hams, Apple has decided to send you a battery for replacement!"
 
Sorry to learn about your problems, mate, with your MBP (most refurb MBPs are excellent), but you did well to insist on your rights firmly but politely. Glad to see that you'll be getting a new battery. Let us know if that solves the problem.

I almost lost my cool after being put on hold for 35 minutes, and going around in logical circles with support. Oh, the infinite powers of a deep breath....

Thanks, scepticalscribe. I bought a low-end refurb for my father, and his battery health was ~100% with only a couple loadscycles. I hope this "new" battery they sent me doesn't have over a dozen cycles like the one that's being returned!

Seriously dude, your making a mountain outta a mole hill, IMO. Everything you buy from Apple includes a 12mths warranty regardless of whether is new or refurb, that includes your battery.

That's just proving my point. They wouldn't replace it initially.
