iPod touch Problems with facetime

Haveing problems connecting with facetime. I have changed dns settings.
It works after switching airplane mode on and then off again, but I have to do this almost every time I use facetime

Any ideas?

DNS Settings won't help you here. Your internet is much too slow (and your ping is incredibly high) to support FaceTime.

i wonder ,when you have facetime issues , are you using a smc router in your wifi?
