This is my first post here on this site. My son has an iPod touch, 4th generation. Ever since the ios 6 upgrade, I am seeing a few issues. I would appreciate any help.

Firstly, the AppStore just force closes any time I open it and search for an app. I am not able to download any apps.

Secondly, certain apps, like Crackle, just don't work. They force close again. Some apps which worked before, like 3rd Grade Maths Prep, now behave strange; my son gets a zero score even if he answers all the questions right.

Thirdly, and this is not related to ios 6, is iCloud. How do I delete my son's silly videos and free up space ?

As a first step plug the iPod into your computer with iTunes and restore the device. Next check your Apps for updates (Crackle was updated for iOS 6 Oct 16th)
Good luck!

The App Store has been crashing since iOS 6 update, use the app appshopper for a better way to browse apps. For the other apps maybe try to reinstall

I restored the iPod, like suggested above. The appstore is working now. The appstore is still a bit sluggish, but I can now download apps. Thanks for the help!

Good to know! The AppStore in general is very slow on iOS 6 with the iPod touch 4.

actually, i think restore is the right thing to do but did you get a chance to just turn the device off and on again? Just to free up some ram.

However, maybe the new appstore features are just memory consuming because now you can drag up to view the top 100 free/paid games making it very laggy. Even my Ipad 2 sometimes take long to fully open.

Apple should have warned us on this. (device with 256 ram can choose not to up ios 6 because it would be laggy)

Or just no update at all. I could be more happy on a nice iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak.

I actually did try rebooting it multiple times, before posting here. Only after restore did the ipod become useable.

In hindsite, I would actually have preferred not getting the ios6 update .
