Problems with Messages App

Has anyone been having problems with the Messages app? I have a new iPhone 6 and I am using a custom keyboard. At least three times a day when I open the app it freezes, and I have to re-start it. I'm not sure if it's the third party keyboard that's causing it (SwiftKey), or just a problem with the new IOS that needs to be worked out.

I'm having this problem. I am using SwiftKey as well. Hmmm. It didn't start until I updated to 8.1

Happens to me with Swype. I was wondering if it's specific to Swype, or a general 8.1 issue with 3rd-party keyboards -- based on the above, sounds like the latter.

One other quirk is that when I go to reply to a new message with Swype enabled, sometimes I need to click in the text box before I start typing (even though the app launches with the keyboard already up), or else the words I type/Swype won't appear.
