Hello everybody.
I have some problems with downloading moovie-files from the net.

Nearly all friends of mine are Windows-users and they have a lot of websides, where they can download the latest moovies.

I'm using a G4-Mac with OS 9.1. Which software is necessary? Where can I get it? Where can I get the best free movies? ... ?
If there is anyone out there who can give me a little support, please let me know.

Thanks and best regards

Er... let's not get into specifics about this... I don't want to know what kind of movies you are downloading...

however...

it all comes down to how they are encoded

MPEG -> Quicktime can play most (not MPEG-2 by default, you have to buy an add on)
.avi -> this opens up a can of worms... but if quicktime can't play it, try http://www.divx.com
.mov -> Quicktime
.rm -> RealOne (RealMedia)

MOOVIES!

One thing. Movies is spelled with one "O", not two. Also, be aware that downloading movies that are currently playing, or aren't playing is extremely illegal. Also, most of the files are in excess of 10Gigabytes, so be prepared for very long download times, even on a broadband connection.

Thanks!

And yes, I'll never write "moovies" again - a promise! Of course I know that's illegal and - that's also a promise - I'll never ever do it.....

Best regards Mike
