Hi, I have recently converted to an iMac after using a PC for many years.

I have been having a problem with Word in MS Office 2008. When I try and save a file as a PDF it has a problem if some of the document sections are in landscape; it create separate PDF's for them. Does anyone know how to stop this?

PDF problem!

This sounds like an issue with word. I am not familiar with this. I do know a work around. If you click "print" (doesn't matter if you don't have a printer) when the print screen comes up. There will be a small box on the bottom left where you can save the document as a PDF. This will use the operating system instead of word.

Also Mac's built in "preview" software is great to help with PDFs. You can delete pages and add pages into your PDFs. Very helpful. You can also flip the pages using control + L or R.

Still a problem

Many thanks for your suggestion. I have tried the alternative and it still splits the document into separate PDF's

have you tried flipping the pages so that they are all the same orientation, saving as a pdf, and then flipping back (using "preview")?

Yes, Office has issues with this. I suspect it's the way Office manages the printing of documents with different orientations. Please send feedback to Microsoft about this, since it annoys me, too.

As a workaround, you can merge the PDFs in Preview.

PDF Problems

I think that I am being dense, but I could not find out how to merge documents in preview.
