Hello, I am using Mac OS/X 10.8.5. There have been some issues with QuickTime 7. 1. When I double clicked a video file or chose QuickTime 7 to be the application, it took a long time to load. Then, it opened several videos that I watched in the past. 2. Very often, the fireball keeps spinning. Nothing is being shown on screen. 3. When I used QT7 to open a .m4a audio file, and dragged the progress bar, very often the fireball just keeps spinning and no audio is played. Any solution appreciated. Thanks.

You don't - you're better off re-applying the latest combo update for 10.8, which includes an updated QuickTime Player X 10.2.

Sure! Go here and grab the 832 MB file. Open/mount the disk image and install it. Reboot when prompted.
