Hi all.
I have problems with power supply of ssd drive samsung 970
disk not visible in system. But if you perform certain actions from becomes visible
1. power computer ON and wait loading
2. on logon screen, enter sleep mode
3. exit sleep sleep mode and enter password to enter OS
4. reboot system
5. enter system and disk visible

BUT if computer power OFF and again power ON, disk again not visible

What kind of problem is that ?

Is this a

970 Pro
970 evo
970 evo plus

Nvme drive and how is attached to the machine

970 Pro and evo work well with Mac OS. Seen plenty of reports of the new 970 evo plus is to be avoided with Mac OS.

"connected via adapter"

What kind of Mac?
What kind of adapter?
Is this connected internally or externally?

If connected externally with an adapter...
Have you tried using a DIFFERENT adapter?

iMac 2017 21 (18,2)
Boot ROM: 170.0.0.0.0
SMC : 2.40f0

adapter

I did in the service center, so I can not try to change another adapter. To do this, I will again need to go to the service

Tried the following:
Enter into sleep mode, exit sleep mode , reboot. Disk visible.
Power off - Power ON , Disk invisible.

I think there's a problem with the adapter. I will go to the service center

Also if you do so in Windows via bootcamp

Enter sleep mode, Exit sleep mode, Reboot - Disk visibly

hello, again.
I changed the ssd to samsung evo 970
The problem remained the system does not see the SSD after power off the computer (sometimes it appears)
But it is necessary to enter into sleep mode and after reboot the computer, the SSD is visible. (and work with no problems)

Please help, what could be the problem ?
