So, I'll start off with letting everyone know that I am completely computer illiterate. That's why I got a Mac in the first place. Unfortunately, it is still beyond my comprehension on most things.

So here is my problem. I recently replaced my hard drive (after dropping the computer). Luckily, I had purchased a Time Capsule. So, everything was backed up, and I wasn't too concerned. I put the new hard drive in and re-loaded the OS. I opened up Time Machine and went back to the most recent back-up (prior to the drop). I clicked on restore, and sat back waiting for the next 12 hours.

This morning when I woke up, the restore was done. However, I can't find any of it. The HD shows that about 35 GB's have been used, but nothing from my back-up is accessible. So, I went back to Time Machine to start over again. However, Time Machine now shows that I only have data in my Time Capsule for one day. Prior to my intitial restore, it went back to July 2010. Now the farthest I can go back is today.

I then went to Airport Utility to see if there was some sort of connectivity problem with my Time Capsule (BTW, TC is my router, and the internet is working fine). Airport Utility recognizes my TC as an airport. It used to show a picture or icon of my TC on the left hand side. Now it shows the icon for an Airport.

Anyway, I have spent all day trying to figure this thing out and have gotten nowhere. If anyone has a solution to any of the above listed problems, I would love to hear them. Thanks!
