Problems with Universal Control

I set up two Macs with Universal Control yesterday, a Studio and M1 mini and it took some time but everything was working. Then I shut off the mini and turned it on this morning and there's no Universal Control. Is there some magic incantation to get it to work? I didn't see anything obvious in the directions that I used. Both are running Ventura 13.3.

for me, UC has been erratic for the last few OS updates; i have to resort to airdrop regularly. i've reported the problem several times in feedback assist.

i've tried all sorts of things to 'jumpstart' it (rebooting both macs, turning handoff, wifi, & bluetooth off then back on). am also open to suggestions (while we wait for apple to sort this out)...

Thanks. I was wondering if it was just me but I found a lot of articles about what to try if Universal Control doesn't work. The thing is I got it working yesterday so I assumed that it would work today.

I have disabled it for now and installed Synergy and will just use that until UC becomes more stable.

I've been using Synergy since around 2008 but wanted to use Universal Control as I'm all Mac on my primary desk now.

I'm a bit disappointed that UC isn't more robust.

UC was great here for some time, and only recently problematic. so am sure (or am hoping 🙏) it will work well again... soon. i use it a lot (am, for the present, airdropping like crazy)...

UC works great for me now... I had problems with it being super laggy between my mini M2 and iMac 5K but that was when I had the controls on the mini. Since I switched them to the iMac that, still runs Monterey, everything runs smooth. I do have a trackpad connected to the mini to wake it up when needed and after it wakes I can use UC via the iMac to put in my pw etc...

UC was partially broken in Ventura 13.3 but 13.3.1 fixed the problems. Things are running smoothly now.

I wonder if the iMac runs it better because of the GPU on the iMac.

I'm running the control on the Mac Studio and an M1 mini is the slave system and it works fine.

I wasn't aware that 13.3.1 fixed it.... kinda since it was running good for me before

funny how it was broken for me on 13.3.1, but now works again on the 13.4 beta 2. anyway, am glad to have it back.
