Problems with unsolicited emails

Cannot get rid of unsolicited e mails. Will not allow me to "junk"or delete. Have unsubscribed countless times but they keep coming back

Can you access your email account using a web browser and delete them there? Who is the email provider?

We've tried that & it hasn't worked. Email provider is hotmail.com.
However the emails are still appearing on iPad, but not on my main browser

Is your email account set up as POP or IMAP (IMAP is the default for Hotmail these days)?

Do you have any other email accounts set up on that iPad?

Did you try one of their own email apps or how did you resolve the issue?

I phoned Apple in the end & they talked me through it. I just turned off mail. Turned off pad & started again & it's worked. Many thanks
