Hi all.

14" M2 MacBook Pro with Studio Display and new USB C Magic Keyboard. My function keys act as standard function keys and not the system shortcuts (volume, brightness etc). I've checked in Settings > Keyboard > Keyboard Shortcuts > Function Keys and have confirmed that function keys are not enabled to use as standard function keys.

Was using a non-Apple blue tooth keyboard prior to the new Magic Keyboard and everything worked fine.

Any thoughts? Thanks.

Welcome to Apple’s so-called ecosystem. 🙄

Hmmm. Not looking good then? I've checked and it is the same without the display - no controls over the laptop itself.

MacBook Pro (14‑inch, 2023) is listed as compatible. Disappointing.

Ooh 15.1 available. It hadn't notified me. Doing so now...
