Hi,
on my new MacBook Pro Retina 13" (late 2013) i5 2,6 GHz, 8GB, 512 SSD i have this problem:
after wake up from sleep the process "kernel_task" uses 100% CPU; the only way to resolve is restart.
I try to reinstall OS X and reset SMC and PRAM.
Could be an hardware problem?

Thanks

Giuseppe

Since you tried reinstalling OS X and you say it is a new computer I'd take it back to Apple and have them look at it, it should be under warranty still.

In my experience, kernel_task runs with high CPU usage and takes up a lot of memory when my computer is running hot. But I don't know why.
