Since Apple doesn't ship on weekends, it may change to Preparing for Shipment between now and Monday. If it transitions before Monday, it should ship in 24 hours.

Good point. I spoke with an Apple Specialist earlier today, and he wasnt sure when the phones will ship out. But who knows? They probably already have, and they probably won't let us know until Monday. My credit card was charged yesterday, and I was told the payment went through smoothly and usually they ship right after. :) We can only hope.

People are already getting their phones assigned to them on their support profile, so that leads me to believe they're already boxed up and waiting to be sent into UPS. I'd be lying if I said I wasn't at least a little jealous.
 
FYI for my Apple Watch it didn't switch to shipped until the day before it arrived. The reason is the Watch was already sitting at a local hub in the US.
 
I'm still process.. :'( I was charged already but no preparing for shipment yet. I hope it happens soon. I know it is pretty insignificant, but I hate seeing all the PFS updates and I still sit at processing.
 
Just checked this am and mine now says preparing for shipment. Excited but hoping it does not arrive early, I am out of town till the 24th!
 
I am in the US, and this is the first time I have ever had an iPhone say, "preparing to ship" so early. I wonder if it strictly depends on the model you ordered if the phone is in the US already or not.

I ordered the 64gb gold 6S.

I bet everyone who had a status change either has the gold or rose gold (US orders only through apple.com)

I order the silver 6s plus 128 Gb and it has not changed
 
Mine was preparing for shipment as of yesterday but since then its back on processing.
 
Ordered from iOS app in Canada through apple.

1 RG 64 GB 6S - Processing
1 SG 64 GB 6S - Preparing for shipment since around 5:00PM MST yesterday.

Both were ordered within 10 mins of the pre-order launch. The RG phone was ordered first.
