Processor concerns

Will the next revision of Macbooks and MacBook Pros contain significantly better processors? I looked at the "Intel timelime" guide thing, but that didn't help me all that much since I'm not technologically inclined in that area.

Apple just updated it 3 months ago. Don't think they'll be doing it anytime soon though. 😕

9 months. Lots of reasons why, and as you said since you arnt technologically inclined so you probably arn't interested why. But basically i7 needs to become mobile, cooling solutions need to be developed, and then the Dual i7's need to become quad, then they will be implemented into the laptops.

Basically, in the next revision, it is doubtful.
However, the one after that may contain the i7.

Well, what I really mean I guess is like... the next chipset or whatever it is.. when do they expect to come out? I know they're usually codenamed at alll.. and I remember names like Merom or something from a while back... but yeah; when's the next overhaul of the processor line expected to be?
