who here thinks that the famed A6 quad core will make it into the next IPhone. I believe it will who agrees who disagrees and why?

if they really use the A5X instead of the A6, the new iphone really will just be an elongated 4S.

no quad core b.c it does not play nicely with LTE, and LTE is more important.

/thread :)

I guess it doesn't play nice with Verizon and AT&T's LTE, because the S3 has no problem with South Korea, Japan, and Hong Kong's LTE networks.

Because we already have Retina graphics for the iPhone there's no need to have the huge GPU in the A5X so what likely happens is a die shrink to 32nm which will allow for either a much higher clocked dual core phone or the addition of two additional cores.

I think Apple may go quad core with some nice built in logic to disable cores if they aren't needed.
