Thanks guys for all your insightful views on the configuration I should get. I have. believe reached a decision at least on the main mac pro

One 2.8GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon (quad-core)
NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GT 512MB (Two dual-link DVI) [Add $200]
750GB 7200-rpm Serial ATA 3Gb/s
2GB (2 x 1GB)



I would rather put the money towards a kick ass display

now on to a monitor.
