I'm considering getting a new proclip adjustable holder. I loved my 6/7 specific holder. However the adjustable version is just plastic and not the felt cover that the naked phone versions have. I plan on using the phone primarily without case, but I'm concerned about scratching with constant in and out. Anyone else have this concern or experience? Any solutions? I'm thinking about just wrapping with felt and gluing on. Not ideal, but should be protective enough.

Are you getting the adjustable just in case you end up using a case? I always like the specific ones myself, but glad I got the adjustable for the 7 Plus because the X with a case still works. Got sick of paying them for a new one every year;). Now hopefully I can wait till they add wireless charging to it.

They will be releasing a felt holder soon, so why not wait?

This isn't about a lack of patience (for once). I wanted the flexibility of using a case sometimes and also the possibility of using my old 7 or any other future iphone. Still considering the naked iphone version since I mostly use without a case, but I remember there were a few times I had a case on and couldn't use my expensive ass proclip set up. I know there are a lot of devoted proclip users out there so little surprised this hasn't come up before. I googled with no relevant results. I considered the magnetic mount option, but then I'd have to stick a piece of metal on my naked phone, unlikely. Starting to like the iouttie wireless charging mount option now, wish they had a proclip style holder though. Life is hard.

I just got the adjustable one but I have the Apple leather case on mine. However, I just placed an order for bestskinsever and might use that in leui of a case. If I end up doing that I’ll give my wife the adjustable one and order the felt one for my car. Nothing beats ProClip...

It’s soft plastic. I’m sure it will be fine.
I tend to agree with you. I'm not that anal with my phones, just don't want it scratching unnecessarily just from vibrations or just regular use. I'm thinking it should be fine as well. Wondering if anyone had experience with it.

I hear you, both on the flexibility on the adjustable version and the want for wireless charging. I wish they would come up with that solution. Can't be hard if cheap wireless chargers exist for $10 on Amazon. There is so much space on the back of these proclip holders too.
