To my surprise the iPhone X Silicon Product (RED) is a very different red to the older Product (RED) of the iPad and iPhone 7 Plus.

I made sure I didn’t buy the Rose Red. See the inside of the case mentions Product (RED) too.

This irritates me as it doesn’t mean consistency across apple product cases

Apple also change the Apple Watch Product red sports band to a Dragon red sports band as well. It's a darker color red.
 
A few reviews say the reason behind this (for the leather anyway) was to mask some of the awful leather patina that developed on older, lighter toned Red cases.

The Silicone appears to have followed suit....to keep all Product Red cases the same shade across the 2017 range.
 
The product red case for the SE, that they reintroduced and I bought in september, was already like this. Looks like new till this day and is an real inprovement over the old version.
