A red XS would be pretty cool. I would want one, but can't honestly say I'd upgrade just for the color.

Enticing. I have a Product Red iPhone 7 in great condition.
It would be an expensive upgrade/collector's item though...

Is it true, that Apple is releasing a Product Red XS within the next 2 weeks? Who's buying if it gets released? XS for me this time around.

I personally wouldn’t buy an XS just for the color ‘Red’, unless someone was upgrading at the time of the release, then that might make more sense if they really wanted that color. Either way, Red is a very popular color in China, it symbolizes ‘Fortune and Good luck.’

If they don't do one, there are Product Red XS/XS Max Apple cases, as an alternative if you use cases.

Great, now I’m imagining ET slowly scrolling through their Facebook feed with an elongated finger and crooning “friend” whenever they see a new post.

Why aren't these released in the fall with the rest of the phones? They're always on this weird cycle. If they were released in the fall, I might pick one up. But I'm not dumping a 6 month old phone for one. I don't get it.

It’s supposed to help generate more demand mid-cycle. iPhone unit sales typically drop off by 1/3 during this quarter.

I just don't like the shade of red on the XR and on previous Product Red iPhones. Apple's shade of red looks too bloody. I'd like to see a more brighter red without it looking plastic-y.

I’d like a dark red tbh

But yea I don’t really like the apple red. Looks like a Chucky cheese arcade red

I will buy it and put use a clear case that will turn yellow in a couple weeks. (just kidding) I would buy it if I was upgrading.
Using a case with the X series negates the color selection of me. I had to look at my phone to see what color my max is

I use a sleeve which I prefer over a case. I do have a Belkin glass screen protector applied by Apple on my XS Max.

It's March 1st. and no announcement of a XS Product Red iPhone. Disappointing.

I’m not sure why you were expecting ‘March 1’ to have a Product Red XS launching? I mean, was there some strong indication that Apple was going to do this in the first place? If you were going by a rumor, try not to believe every rumor you read, as I’m not sure why March 1 really would’ve been a strong indicator for anything, given that usually spring keynotes are between the end of the month and through April in all likeliness.

Right, I'm pretty sure in both prior years the red ones were announced later than now.
