hey
when i had a siemens SX1 i used to use remote S60 to connect through my pc and i could control the phone on screen, does anyone know of any such program that would work with a nokia (5500) on a macbook as i am yet to find it, preferably it would work through bluetooth, not through cables....

thanks in advance

As far as I know (as a former S60 user for years before I got an iPhone,) there is no software that lets you control the phone from the computer.

There is Salling Clicker, which does the opposite, though. It lets you control your computer from the phone. (Useful for controlling iTunes, for example.)

The best you can do for controlling the phone from the computer is using Address Book to dial or send SMS messages. (If you have properly paired your phone with your computer, then in Address Book, there will be a Bluetooth icon that connects your phone to the computer. When connected, if you click on the title of a phone number, it will give you three choices: "Large Type", which is always available, and just shows the phone number in huge print so you can read it across the room; one that will send an SMS, and one that will dial. (Sorry, those options aren't visible to me right now with my iPhone, so I can't tell you the exact wording for them.)

But that's all you can do. No on-computer-screen mockup of the phone, for example.

bumping this old thread as im still interested in this and hopefully something has been made...
