Program for ripping CD to ALAC on Big Sur

Whats the best way to rip my own CD´s to ALAC in Big Sur.
Im not planning to play back via the Music app on the MAC but to have on a network player

I use dBpoweramp CD Ripper - not with ALAC but with FLAC and I have never had any problems with it (https://www.dbpoweramp.com).

The screenshot below shows the main screen using Apple Lossless.

An oldie but a goodie, SBooth's MAX, which is the closest to the old Windows stalwart CDEx I could find.

How did you get the 64 bit version? I have a version which is only 32 bit and the newer one comes bundled with ad ware so I'm staying away from that.

I got it from the official web site. No adware.

I did that too (via sourceforge.net which the official XLD-site directed me to) and I got adware. Did you download via the "local mirror" link instead of sourceforge?

Thanks for the heads up! Just downloaded with no problem! This was actually one reason I've been hesitant to upgrade from Mojave...

Any reason why you shouldn't use the built in Music app and then do what you please with the files?
