I want just like a 10-20 sec part of this song to put on the begining of a video, is there any program that will let me cut that part out?

Quicktime can do that, but if you're looking for more control (fade in/out, for instance) for audio files I recommend Amadeus. Audacity is free, but I didn't find it as nice as Amadeus (guess I got used to it). Amadeus Pro is only $40, though.

As a second thought, Garage Band can also do it, but it isn't it's main strength.

yeah i just did it in garage band and it worked alright

thanks for the help though!

just for everyone else's reference,
iTunes will do this too. In the "options"
for the song, change the start and end
times to the points you want to crop to,
then convert to an AIF file. If you need
to do lots of cutting, then Amadeus or
Audacity are your best bets, but I'd hate
to download and install an application for
something I only have to do once or twice.
