As of today, Lotus Notes has started opening automatically when I login. I have confirmed:

1. when i shut down i do NOT enable "reopen windows"

2. system preferences -> users -> login items - lotus notes is not listed here

3. /Library/StartupItems - nothing here

4. Right click Notes in dock, and there is NO tick next to "Open At Login"

There is no option anywhere in the Program's preferences alluding to starting at login.

Please help, this is driving me nuts!!!

Tried that - saw nothing associated with the program that is launching - Lotus Notes
Confirm you ran the app EtreCheck like Queen6 suggested and there is nothing there that looks like Lotus Notes? That app lists every possible way and app could launch at startup, so it should be there.

Hmm... do you think it could be that jamfsoftware agent running that is launching Notes? I see that is an enterprise package that IBM uses, and I wonder if that package is configured to launch Lotus Notes?

You might try removing those.

Also maybe this one "com.ibm.ibm-registration.plist".

Try booting to safe mode by holding the shift key at boot. That will bypass all these launch items. If that stops it, it confirms it is one of these items launching Notes.

Do you know how I can remove them? I checked /System/Library/LaunchDaemons and /System/Library/LaunchAgents

I've pretty much deleted everything from LaunchAgents and Daemons that isn't com.apple - it still happens!

I believe those third party items are in these folders and not System.

/Library/LaunchAgents
/Library/LaunchDaemons

I've done so much digging in those folders, right now I have given up and once El Cap is out I will do a brand new install.

Get the free app easyfind. Search for names relating to your issue and you will likely see something that is related to this. Delete it, or uninstall Lotus Notes and reinstall and make sure preferences doesn't have an auto start checked.

There are three separate places to check for Launch Agents and LaunchDaemons:

1. In the Library folder in your home folder
2. In the Library folder at the root of your hard drive
3. In the Library folder in the System Folder at the root of your hard drive.

Have you checked all three both for Lotus Notes and for JamfSoftware?
[doublepost=1481553714][/doublepost]Also, try this:

Open a finder window at the root of your hard drive.
Hit Command-F.
Type com.jamfsoftware into the search box and hit return.

You will probably get no result. Now click on the + button on the top right and add the criterion "System Files" "Are included"

This should get you the location of all com.jamfsoftware

See screen shot where I did a similar search for com.paragon.updater
