I recently reinstalled Mac OSX on my aluminium iMac, but the computer still feels slow and sluggish sometimes.

someone pointed me to that it might be my hard drive.. but before I send it in to Apple, is there any way that I can run a benchmark check on some sort of hard drive program?

I just wanna find out if my hard drive is good or kaput!

did you buy applecare? if so it comes with "techtools" or something.. if not i think the OSX installation cds have a built-in hardware checker.

try googling and see if it does, i know it did for tiger on my pb.

Disk Utility will give you some information about the status of your hard drive.

You can do that with Disk Utility right? Where it says: S.M.A.R.T. Status: Verified, yes?
