Been trying to look for a utility to help me do this, iFunbox never made a version for PowerPC and DeTune isn't seeing my phone. Anyone have an alternative?

There's PhoneView. It's PowerPC. I don't use it much anymore though because my iPhone 5 is jailbroken and I connect to it just like any drive or server share.

Also, can't you load your iPod as a drive? Granted the music would not be titled (it's a bunch of random gibberish) but you could get your music off that way.

There are a few - a couple are free. Trouble is that these are either old apps or deprecated versions of current apps. If you are using an old iPod on an old version of iTunes then they may work, otherwise probably not.

Just search for Senuti on Macupdate and look at the suggestions below for similar apps. A few of those have links to older PPC versions.

Senuti worked well when I transferred my Library to the Mac in '06 using an iPod 3rd Gen.

Not sure if I've still got an old version kicking around, if you get stuck give me a shout.
