program to type as you speak or read?

I am looking for a program that will type everything into word or something as it is being spoken or as the professor lectures it.

any ideas for the mac ?

have you used it/ is it any good?

dictation software always has to be trained to the specific voice. You cannot simply install the software and expect it to work perfectly out of the box. It takes time to train it and you have to be ready to back and proofread.
