I am not sure if I am starting this thread in the right section of the forum, but I have a strange issue that just started yesterday. Programs seem to be randomly opening on my computer from time to time. For example just now, Microsoft Excel, Outlook, iTunes and FaceTime randomly just opened on their own. I cannot think of what would cause this. Has anybody else experienced this, or know what could cause this. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

1. First check System Preferences->Users & Groups, your account, Login Items.

2. Also check /YourHardDrive/Users/YourUserName/Library/LaunchAgents. Also check /YourHardDrive/Library/LaunchAgents.

Thank you for your response. However it is not upon log in that this happens. I was working on the machine for a couple of hours and this happened. And in terms of what is in both these folders, none of the programs are in this folder.

Thank you
