    i recently bought an iMac.
    i have noticed a problem
i installed firefox, vlc, and msn live messenger. But everytime it restarts these programs no longer appear on dock and cannot seem to find them anywhere else.
Does anyone know what the problem could be.

    Thank you in advance.

The programs are in your Applications folder. Open it up and drag the program icons to the dock. That will place them there until you remove them. Otherwise, they will only appear in the dock when you launch them and disappear when you quit.
